Prerequisites and Qualifications:
To be eligible for the PADI Course Director Training Course (CDTC), you must meet several prerequisites, including:
Master Instructor Certification:
Attain the Master Instructor rating, which demonstrates mastery of the PADI System and standards.
EFR Instructor Trainer Certification:
Become a certified Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor Trainer, enabling you to train others in first aid and CPR.
IDC Staff Instructor Certification:
Achieve the IDC Staff Instructor rating, showcasing your ability to assist with Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) and contribute to instructor-level training.
Experience Requirements:
To qualify for the CDTC, you must fulfill specific experience requirements, including:
Conducting Diver Certifications:
Within the past 12 months, ensure you have conducted all certifications for each level of diver training following PADI guidelines.
Exclusive Use of PADI System:
Exclusively use the PADI System of diver education and issue only PADI certifications to students completing PADI courses.
Staffing Experience:
Gain experience by staffing at least two complete IDCs or a combination of two Assistant Instructor (AI) courses and two Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) programs, or one AI, one OWSI, and one full IDC since becoming an IDC Staff Instructor.
